About Us

Hartwell Service League is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. We support various needs in the Hart County area by volunteering our time to civic and nonprofit organizations and by accepting donations of funds and materials to support programs that serve Hart County and other areas in need. HSL is a service organization under the guidance of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC), a not-for-profit organization headquartered in Washington, DC. GFWC is the oldest, non–denominational, non–partisan, an international service organization of volunteer women in the world. Membership of the GFWC is 10 million worldwide, operating in more than 20 countries with 6,000 local clubs in the United States.

HSL meets the second Tuesday of each month at the Adult Learning center on Benson Street.  If you are interested in attending our meeting or membership, please contact Beth Mewborn at 630-300-8193
